League & Cup

Anyone fancy there chances this year who do we think are going to win the leagues and cups.

played longsight this year and i think they could do some damage, cant really comment on the other teams.

I think the league is really open this year.  From what I've heard down the grapevine the top two from last year have lost a couple of players, Hazel Grove have signed a few of ours (transfer fees still outstanding!) and I think Platt will do well.

My tips are:
Division 1:  Burnley yellow
Division 1 relegation:  MP and Burnley blue but there could be a surprise (hopefully not us!)
Division 2 promotion:  Pennington (if their young players give them more of a spark going forward) and Hurdsfield
Division 2 relegation:  Don't think I've played enough teams in division 2 to comment on this or division 3 promotion.  Looks like there will be some decent teams coming into division 3 having played two of them in friendlies.

Cup:  I'm going to back Hazel Grove to end Burnleys winning streak.

Looking forward to the start of the season on Saturday  Smile

agree with Higgy, could be a very close season this year.

We have two teams now and that has strengthened our first team, the new signings have all made a big difference. (the transfer money is being paid by our new Nigerian owner, he should have sent you an email Higgy!)

Pre-season has been enjoyable with our first team enjoying big wins against Ambassadords and Rambottom while the Reserves suffered defeats to Burnley Yellow and Oldham.

Looking forward to the big kick off!

Warrington were the consistant team last year - i recon more silverwear will come their way this year.

Both teams i've seen from Div 3 have looked really, really good (Kay st & Burnley greens) - if all teams are that standard it could be a cracking race for the top spot.
