Macc Parish 0 Burnley Yellow 9A lovely morning matched by a good display by ourselves. New signings settled in nicely and i thimk we have the basis of another exciting young squad.
Macc were good lads and never once tried to go for the long ball. They always tried to pass and move and should be aplauded for it.

Looks like Burnley Yellows have hit the ground running!
Be careful though Burger - I'll take you back to 1990! Liverpool hammered Palace 9-0 at Anfield...it was a different story the following April!!

if i were to comment it would only be negative so i will try to be constructive, lots of players missing for us, we only had 10 people with 5 mins to kick off. some of whom i'd never seen before.
Scoreline embarrassing but could have been worse, defence worked hard under constant pressure, darryl made some good saves. Rick worked hard in midfield and Dave donnelly after an extremely long injury put in a shift up front chasing everything and worked a couple of openings to almost nick a goal or 2.
Burnley work the overlap on the wings extremely well and we were punished over and over for failing to mark/track or generally do anything football like when the wings were worked - sorry too negative but i still have a ball shaped mark and bruising stinging on my leg for the graft i put in.

I was imprseed with the way you played football Rework. As you say - the scoreline was probably more down to the fact you werent used to playing together rather than poor performances.
Was good to see that you have a number of young lads playing - they seemed to be decent players, keen & had a good attitude.
Good luck for the rest of the season.
