SMCCFL Disciplinary actionA serious incident that took place during the Warrington BB v HT Platt fixture on Sept 26th was reported on this forum.
The incident was serious violent conduct by a Platt player. Following an investigation, SMCCFL has imposed a lengthy suspension for the player of a minimum of 8 matches.
Fortunately such incidents are very rare in SMCCFL. However, the league will not tolerate any such incidents and the significant disciplinary action taken in response this one demonstrates this. Disciplinary action (suspension) is taken to prevent breaches of the SMCCFL Code of Conduct and to act as a deterrent.
All SMCCFL players should know the Code of Conduct and their responsibility to comply with it.
I hope we can now complete the season without any further such incidents and that the friendly, sporting nature of our league continues to flourish.
