Bad day at the office for Macc, starting with the parking, would have thought someone at Knutsford would have had the sense to switch this fixture. Some kids coaching thing been run plus extension of the car park meant there was literally no where to park! By the time we had found spaces and got kitted up Knutsford had already finished there warm up.
Pitch was extremely small also.
Above said this was never a contest after the first goal went in and in the pouring rain I was praying for the full time whistle with 40 mins still to play. We gave Knutsford all the time they wanted on the ball and we were ripped apart. Mix and match side again with absentees and injuries. Credit to Knutsford, well organised and very good passing side, we did defend well in parts and limited the score to under double figures.
Postives - Russell came on in midfield when the game was well and truly over but scrapped well for the ball and looked a good prospect. Alex worked hard to break up Knutsfords play and put in some meaty challenges in the middle of the park.
Roll on 2 weeks so we can banish the memory of this game!

Good assesment of the game. About the pitch, it was the same pitch macc town youth team play on and they have no complaints. It was the perfect size for a passing team, so read into that what you may. About the parking, i belive u were told u would have to park in a different car park and there is nothing stopping u getting to the ground at say 9.45. As for swithching the game, its our home fixture, on a good pitch, so no logic behind that, and y would we play it at ur ground which is a horrendous pitch full of dog feaces. Anyway, there's my opinion.

I turned up at 9:45 but spent 15 mins getting into the overflow car park to find it was full! Then had to get back on to mereheath lane and park on the road edge half in a bush! As did the rest of our squad, what I was suggesting was switch the home and away legs because i would have expected the work on the car park to be complete by next year when the return fixture was due!
Again about the pitch I wasn't having ago just pointing out it was smallest pitch I have played on, our keeper had to take some weight off his goal kicks as they were almost clearing the pitch.
None of the above comments were meant to take anything away from your performance, undoubtedly we got a lesson in how to play football, i played centre back for us for the 90 mins and we were constantly under pressure!
